Today I finished the first book in the twelve book series called Cirque du Freak by Darren Shan. I think it would be an excellent early junior high school book. Its exciting, with a compelling story and cast of characters. It reminded me I really have to start looking into resources for teaching young adult fiction. Has anyone out there taught with this series of books? What did you do? Do you know of any resources for teaching young adult fiction in general?
